The man with 262,547,731 friends and the founder of MySpace, Tom Anderson, is getting fired! According to TechCrunch, Tom, CEO Chris DeWolfe, and a half dozen other MySpace execs are getting axed over poor performance. The issue stems from MySpace growth vs. Facebook growth. MySpace has seen declining numbers for the better part of a year while Facebook has been excelerating.

This news really brings back memories of the day I signed up for MySpace and Tom became my first friend. I was at my friend's crappy apartment inland of Los Angeles. I deleted him almost immediately, but it was nice while he was around.

Tom hasn't updated his mood in over a week. It's stuck on 'Chill'.
