The line-up for KROQ's annual Christmas party has been announced. MUSE and AFI will headline the two day Almost Acoustic concert with bands like Metric, The Bravery, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and Cage The Elephant taking other spots on the bill.

The Bay Area's winter alternative music festival, Not So Slient Night, just announced the line-up for 2009. 'Greatest live band in the world' Muse is headlining with local boys AFI right below, and 30 Seconds To Mars, Vampire Weekend, and Metric following.

AFI bassist Hunter Burgan is the new 'Vegan Ambassador' for Macbeth shoes, the company founded by Blink-182's Tom DeLonge.

You may ask what exactly does a vegan ambassador to a shoe company do?

Well, duh. Make vegan shoes.

And what, exactly, is a vegan shoe?

Hunter can explain:

First off, have you ever worn a pair of shoes without glue? They just fall apart. So, if they are going to use glue, it's going to have to be vegan glue. You know, animals don't wear shoes with human glue—it's just disrespectful.

Hmm. Interesting. I've never really thought of my shoe glue as disrespecful. But I'll never look at my feets the same way again!
