It All Went Down In The Blink (182) Of An Eye

"They said they were gonna get us and we said there was no way they are gonna get us. Sure enough they got us." Those are the famous last words of Asher Roth on his last night on the road with Blink-182. Asher and his crew got punked pretty ridiculously by Blink as they were wrapping up their final set. I think you can say it 'went down before you could Blink.' Just can never plan enough for some things.

But be careful folks. This prank is the gift that keeps on giving. Just when you think the worst is over, well, nope. The hilarity has only begun!

Blink-182 At The Stand Up For Skateparks Backyard BBQ

Where were you last weekend? How about at this backyard BBQ that Blink-182 played. Check out the video of them playing What's My Age Again, shot by the one and only Fred Durst. Wait is that Tom Green standing right there. Event was the Stand Up For Skateparks charity event. Tony Hawk busted out the 900 again on the vert ramp. Check that one out here.

Pretty sure Mark forgot the words on that one to
. See comments.

Pretty sure someone messed up Blink-182's MySpace

Pretty sure someone messed up Blink-182's MySpace

Did The All-American Rejects hack Blink-182's MySpace page right now, or is 'guy at record label whose job it is to update MySpace pages' not doing that very well at the moment. Maybe MySpace is just making a funny. Either way, Blink-182's MySpace page has been swapped with the Rejects. "Myspace.com/blink182" looks like this.

Update: looks like they're in the process of fixing it. Good thing we got that screen shot.

Blink-182 take a break

Blink-182 take a break

Blink-182 made it through two shows since their friend DJ AM passed away. Last night they played the Virgin Freefest in Maryland and before that a tour stop in Connecticut. But tonight they will have to take a break:

Due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, blink-182 will not be playing tonight in Saratoga, NY at SPAC. Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French will take place as planned along with some special surprises. We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time.

Now is the time for you to absorb the trailer for Blink-182's upcoming documentary - the Blinkumentary.

The best part is when Mark, Travis and Tom go "1,2,3... Blink-182!" before they go out on stage. If I ever meet Mark I'm gonna try and do it with him.

Travis Barker details his plane crash escape

“I opened a door, and my hands caught fire. I immediately soaked up with jet fuel and caught fire. And then I was on fire, running like hell. I was running for my family.”

- Travis Barker talking details on that plane crash. So gnarly. More here.

Blink-182 Concert Review: "It was the best show ever. It was better than Hilary Duff."

Unfortunately we couldn't make it to the Blink-182 kick-off reunion show this last weekend in Las Vegas because we don't get paid enough around here to actually make it there. Instead we must rely on items such as YouTube, MySpace and MTV to get an (in)accurate picture of the show. Let us begin.

Our first piece of evidence to judge the level of Suck Vs. Awesomeness is this video shot from the front row:

Ok, that looked pretty rad. I know the Blink guys are pretty old now but it looks like they can still walk and move their fingers and stuff.

Second piece of evidence is crowd reaction and comments.

From MTV, we are offered these:

- "We were right up front. It was the best show ever. It was better than Hilary Duff."

- "They were amazing, after, like, five years of not playing. My favorite part was when Tom yelled, 'Fuck!' or 'Masturbate!'"

Ok that paints an accurate picture of the show. Better then Hilary Duff, and the best part was when Tom yelled fuck and masturbate. Note to self: if I start a band do those two things. Thanks MTV.

Might as well turn to MySpace and see what actual fans had to say about their experience:

- "you guys rocked in vegas, i got so fucken drunk"

- "i wish i couldve seen you guys when you were in vegas but tix sold out so damn quick hopfully i can see you on your next tour"

Ok that was pointless. Good thing it only took me a half-hour of scrolling through comments of "THX 4 THE ADDDDDdddD", listen to my band AND ADDDDDDD US, and, HeY I JuST GOt A new WeBcAM SLUTTYGIRL15XXXX cHeck iT OUT!!!' to find those quotes from real people.

Guess we can just look at these pictures. They look fun.

And Now Travis Barker's Flying Drum Solo.

Travis Barker pioneered the flying drum kit almost a decade ago. And now it's back. New and improved. This riser twists. This riser turns. It's chrome.

A Blink-182 reunion show went off last night and Travis tested out the brand new flying saucer. From what I gather his solo was composed of him beating the hell out of his drums with a 'west coast shit' track overlayed. Check it out.
