Luckily Glasvegas frontman James Allen is alive to see the worldwide debut of his band's new video for 'It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry.' I was getting worried there for a moment.
In this one Allen finds himself having a bit of trouble within the heart, just as he sits down for a television interview. As good of time as any, I say. Check it out.
"Our biggest weakness has turned out to be our greatest advantage - if we had got together as experienced musicians, there would not have been much scope to improve. We were so lousy we could only get better."
- Glasvegas singer James Allen talking about his band's early days, and why it's so important not to give up.
The line-up for NorCal's most ripping alternative music festival, BFD 2009, has finally been announced! At first glance it looks pretty promising. Spanning the genres of alternative, reggae, punk, indie and electronic, I think this could turn out to be a very wonderful day. The day breaks down like this:
Headliners: The Offspring, 311, Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Festival Stage: Taking Back Sunday, Alkaline Trio, Rebelution, Metric, Mute Math, Glasvegas, Anberlin, Airborne Toxic Event, Cage the Elephant, Dead Confederate, Audrye Sessions
Subsonic Tent: Crystal Castles, DJ AM, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Villains, Steve Aoki, Zion I, Mike Relm, Paparazzi, Limosines, Designer Drugs, DJ Omar, DJ Miles
Soundcheck Local Band Stage: MC Lars, Music for Animals, Wallpaper, Odawas, Dizzy Balloon, The Catholic Comb, Ambience, olid State Logic, Fighting the Villain
FINALLY seeing The Offsping will be cool. Reminds me of being up to no good in 8th grade. And Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Metric, Glasvegas, Limosines and Airborne Toxic Event are where it's at.

Here's the video Glasvegas just released for their song 'Please Come Back Home.' It's off their holiday album 'A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss).' Isn't that lovely? I really like these guys. But it's pretty hard to not like a video that makes you wanna sit inside under Christmas lights and drink brandy. Or maybe that's just what I think. Anyways, I'm going to go see these guys in a week with Carl Barat from The Libertines. I'll probably film it on my flip, so guys will get a little preview. Like ten seconds of the concert, and thirty seconds of me being drunk.
