"Joseph, Better You Than Me"

"Joseph, Better You Than Me"

My favorite new Christmas song this year was released two days ago by The Killers. It's called 'Joseph, Better You Than Me.' Elton John makes a guest appearance and so does that guy from the Pet Shop Boys. I still can't figure out how it has anything to do with Christmas though.

Here's the MP3 on Amazon. And here's right where you can listen to it alllllll day:

Hello . .

My best guess would be - - the song is about Christianity and 'The Virgin Mary' who gave birth to Jesus Christ. Joseph is Marys' husband. He is briefly mentioned in the Bible but seems to be soon forgotten.

The song (I think) has to do with Joseph and his feelings about his wife getting pregnant without his being the biological father. I guess that God was the Father of Jesus- so having faith and struggling with believing in the Holy Spirit, etc. is what it's talking about. - (Maybe)

The video has occasional pictures from the present (a skyscraper, etc) that could mean that humans are still struggling with believing in biblical stories.

The struggle was with Joseph and with us today. - (possibly)

Thanks for reading this.
